Power Generation - In order to reduce its exposure to the cyclical nature of the sugar sector, Satish Group follows an integrated business model. Bagasse is a high-calorie residue that is left over after sugarcane juice is extracted. It is used to generate energy instead of traditional thermal options, which eliminates greenhouse gas emissions.
Currently, bagasse-fired boilers provide the necessary power for Satish Group's sugar mills. The cogeneration of power from bagasse is being promoted by the Indian government. This helps reduce the power supply-demand gap in India by improving the return for integrated sugar mills on the one hand and producing green power on the other.
